From November to say July/August people in our country are busy attending functions especially marriage.. So you have many marriages to attend and you are scared of applying make up for every function.. This summer makes you sweat a lot and that`s the reason we use make up to look best or say at-least to look fresh isn`t it ??? So which foundation is good this summer and will give us what we demand? Lets see.....

What Product Claims:

A high performance foundation that keeps you looking flawless through the day. The long lasting finish formula does not smudge or streak.. It leaves skin feeling comfortable and supple for hours.....Available in 3 shades

• Shell - For dark to tan complexions
• Pearl- For dusky to wheatish complexion
• Marble- Wheatish to light/ fair complexion

My View:

I had reservation about using make up in summer as my face sweats a lot..Since the situation demanded i look my best , i thought i must give a try. It is aqua based/ water based foundation, not creamy.. Blends well with the skin and gives a matte finish... If you want a dewy finish it is not the right one for you. It gives great coverage and does exactly what it claims.. It made me look fresh even after 6 hrs... :) It lasts long and it can be used by people with sensitive skin...It did not cause any skin irritation..Though company claims that it can be used daily, i suggest not to use it daily, instead try some BB/CC creams..It is available in 3 shades ie shell, pearl, marble.. I used the marble shade as i though it will suit me...So girls look you best with this foundation....

5. Great coverage for uneven complexion
6. Makes you look and feel fresh
7. Convenient pump tube for use
8. Is not heavy on skin

3. Ingredients list not given so you don`t know what it contains.

Overall Rating:

I would give it 4/5 for the great coverage and the lasting power..Great consistency and does not make skin oily...I would recommend everyone to give it at-least 1 try...

What Product Claims:

My View:

This shampoo is runny consistency,  neither creamy nor a lotion.. Very mild for daily use. I did not like the smell of raw apple in it, don`t worry this smell fades away after you rinse your hair....I had oily scalp problem and itchy scalp in summer so thought i will try this shampoo and  after using this shampoo i did not use any conditioner as it is mention on the bottle that it is a shampoo + conditioner.... Wow!!! this shampoo does exactly what is designed for. My hair is oil free, shiny, smooth and silky... You really don`t need a conditioner at all... Trust me its a best shampoo if you want healthy looking hair with body and shine....

Pros:

1. Helpful for oily hair and scalp people
2. Cleanses thoroughly
3. Makes hair healthy and shiny
4. Gives body to hair, makes it look full of volume
5. No strong smell lingering after rinsing hair...

Cons:

1. Price and availability
2. Very mild so you need more quantity of shampoo to lather
3. Raw apple smell, many may not like it

Overall Rating:

 I give this product 5/5 since it does what it claims...I highly recommend it to people who have oily hair and scalp.. Use and see the difference....

"Biotique- Bio Sandalwood Face & Body Sun Lotion Review"

Hi All!!!

Its Summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( And its getting worst...... Biotique is a brand which is listening to its customers and that`s really very nice.. In summer getting out without sunscreen lotion is a very bad idea... Markets are flooded with so many sunscreen lotion and cream, we often get confused which to buy.. Like me you too might be thinking which sunscreen will suit and which is the best for my skin and all that... Especially if you have a sensitive skin... Today let us check what biotique has to offer us...

Price : 99 INR for 50ml

Biotique-Bio Sandalwood

Ingredients:

Safed Chandan (Santalum album), Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), Nag kesar (Mesua ferrea), Ankurit gehun (Triticum vulgare), Madhu (Honey), Arjun (Terminalia arjuna), Rakt chandan (Pterocarpus santalinus), Lodhra (Symplocos racemosa), Mom (Bees wax), Sunflower oil, Purified himalayan water Q.S.


What Product Claims:

Use before sun exposure. Reapply as needed after swimming or perspiring activities. Helps reduce the risk of skin aging, skin cancer and other harmful effects of sun..Contains SPF 75.. Also mentioned on pack that it suits all skin types...


My Views:

The consistence is not too runny nor thick.. Smells like sandalwood and a bit like clove...Its very mild smelling lotion.. On the pack they have not mentioned whether it helps reducing sun tan which is actually what a sunscreen is supposed to do...I personally felt the lotion feels sticky on skin.. I have combination skin type. Though it makes skin super soft which i liked...:) Even after using this my skin got tanned...:(

Pros:

1. Mild fragrance
2. Makes skin supple, soft, elastic
3. Comes in a tube not in tub...:)
4. No harm to skin.
5. You wont break out..

Cons:

1. The lotion is very sticky
2. Did not help protect from sun tanning...
3. Should concentrate more on protecting skin from tanning.
4. Price is more for small quantity..

Today let me review a product "Lakme Radiance Compact powder" i have been using for long time now... I think its the right time to review this to all of you...

What product claims:

Claims to give you a glow in complexion....gives radiant look to the face..You get 2 shades ie "Pearl" suits medium to fair complexions & "Shell" suits tan to dark shades of skin

Pros:

1. Price is reasonable
2. easily available
3. Gives radiant look to face instantly without having to do much.
4. Can be easily carrier in purse. ie travel friendly

Cons:

1. Does not last for a whole day
2. Does not suit very dry skin types

My views on this product:

Sometimes i really do not want to wear make up.. I find this compact powder does magic.. It really makes you look radiant... It lasts for max of 3 to 4 hrs.. It may depend on skin type. My skin is sensitive but after using this i did not see any adverse affects...:) My skin is oily... It sits very nicely on my skin for long time without making me look oily... And i can easily carry it out when i am travelling and look ready for any occasion...

Recommendation:

4/5 I recommend it to people who travel a lot... And have to look best all the time.. I would not recommend it to dry skin gals without moisturizer.....

What Product Claims:

My View:

I see less hair on the floor when i comb my hair.. Its a lot easier to comb detangled hair....This serum is light weight, and does not weight down the hair...This serum works well to detangle hair and keeps it manageable at-least till you wash hair next time...The serum smell is fruity and not strong..
Though it works well to detangle hair, i would appreciate if it would give shine to hair which this serum did not give...That is a major con in this product and does not do what it claims....

I will recommend this if you hair is not manageable(please note i regularly use Triflow Hair conditioner).. If you are looking for shine also this is not the right choice...

Acne is such a problem that it lowers the confidence of the person suffering.. Acne can be caused by many reasons and it may also be a symptom of some other ailment, yes you heard it right... it may be a symptom also.. My view:

Well!!! i trust Biotique products and have been using them for quiet some time...
This product is good  post hair removal to relax your skin...
This product did not reduce blemish but relaxes the skin if applied after a scrub,did not help to reduce pore size... It relaxes tired skin if you were exposed to sun for long time... I used it after waxing and it reduced redness and makes skin feel good... Nothing much to say...
I may continue using it after waxing but not for face as it did not do what it claimed....

I would recommend this product for use after waxing....

Its winter and the season i hate most...Its bad for skin and hair... You need to do extra bit to see that you look good.. People who use lipsticks regularly know how important it is to keep your lips moisturized... Am i right ???? Everybody wants their lips to be pinkish and healthy and they do every bit to get them...Let me review the much advertised "Maybelline Baby Lips Balm" ...

My view:

I have been hunting for  a product that would keep my lips moisturized for long time, i mean atleast for 5 hrs without having to re-apply...Since this product claims 8 hrs moisturizing, i had to give a try... It makes lips soft, exfoliates the lips (peels dead skin on lips) brings out tender skin... But the product does not do what it claims ie does not provide 8 hrs moisture... It did not even last 2 hrs and my lips were dry as usual and had to re-apply...If you do not go out it will work for you but not for working woman or woman who have to stay outdoors...
I think the sad thing about lip balms is you have to re-apply every 3 hrs...Otherwise this is a good product...
