My View:

Untill i read about Ayurvedic treatments i did not know how it works and the benefits, which is why it is widely accepted even outside our country and people have realized 
the benefits of such treatments...Especially people who are looking for safe treatments without any side effects, in such cases only Ayurveda comes to the rescue..
There are many products/cosmetics which have tall claims , some even live up to certain claims but not without some side effects. I never relized how an oil can help reduce acne scars, improve complexion and
provide proper balance to the skin and improve skin health.. 

Vasu herbals is a well know brand among doctors and since long time doctors especially dermatologists prescribe Vasu herbal Capsules, creams etc. 
One such  product if you have come across is the Acnovin Capsules and cream for Acne treatment.. 
Vasu herbals has come up with Kum Kumadi Tailam which has claims as mentioned above...

I had heard a lot about this oil and finally bought it from an Ayurvedic store 6 months back and since then have been using it.. Please note this oil should be used in very less 
quantity if your skin is oily till your skin adjusts to this oil..You can use 2-3 drops alternative nights for 1/2 weeks and later if your skin accepts it, you can use it daily.. 
Use it at night after washing your face and hands with warm water... This oil can be used by people of  any  skin types.

As claimed this oil makes skin look healthy, youthful but does not do much to improve skin complexion.
It did not reduce tough acne scars even after 3 months of continuous usage.. It may work for people with light acne scars.
It effectively reduces redness and also detans your skin effectively and makes your skin moisturized..
If you have suffered redness, tanning due to sun exposure, you must try this oil..
Do not overuse this oil with the hope of speedy improvement!!! Anything used too much only causes harm. It may make your skin very oily...
Rest most of the claims are true....


Recommendation:

I rate this 3/5.... I suggest this oil for daily use for people who have suffered tanning and redness and damage due to sun exposure.. It helps reduce the bad effects and restores skin health and shine...

"Lakme 9 to 5 Flawless Creme Compact Review"

Market is flooded with so many cosmetic products and different types of foundation, sometimes its hard to decide what would work for you.. Lakme has introduced Creme Compact, yes!! The name confused me and i ended up buying this product... Well! I bought this almost a year ago and now i think its the right time to review this "Lakme 9 to 5 Flawless Creme Compact".

There is no ingredient list given by Lakme which is not good!!! Which is not acceptable actually.

What product claims:

A creme to powder finish compact that glides on silky smooth and blends effortlessly for an impeccable finished look that lasts the entire day..It is meant to last 9 to 5..

My view:

First of all i would say i bought this just out of confusion by the name creme compact.. Either they had to mention as Cream foundation or cake foundation.. It is not a dry compact powder but just a cake of cream foundation , bit thicker in consistency compared to liquid or normally used face foundations...

The packing is very pretty red onion peel color... Has an impressive mirror and sponge holder at the bottom...The sponge is of good quality but it itself consumes lot of the product!! I would prefer using my fingers for application instead of wasting so much product in the sponge.. Sponge is washable and good quality...The foundation does not have a strong smell and it does spread on the skin quite well.. You start applying foundation and it just transforms into compact powder that is the effect.. That is what is claimed and lives true to it... 

This foundation cake is available in 3 shades ie

• Shell
• Marble
• Pearl

I bought the Marble shade which suits best for wheatish to light wheatish complexions.. Pearl is for fair skin and shell is for dark wheatish complexions..

I loved the creme consistency of this foundation cake which after applying gives powder compact effect..Though it is a cream consistency it does not work well and does not blend effectively...It leaves a white cast but don`t worry that does not last long... this definitely did not last even for 4 hrs in hot weather... It also looks very cakey after sometime making you look like a plastered person or as if you have applied some face pack.... Yuk!!!! It does not suit dry skin.. For normal skin it might suit but wont last for long time.. For oily skin it lasts hardly for 1 hr... Because it mixes with the oil and gives you washed and uneven complexion...Blending power is weak..You can carry it to office for a quick fix if there is such need as it is very travel friendly pack...But it is definitely not good for a whole day wear...
 May be Lakme was confused and confused us tooooooo.........

The ingredients list is missing which is a thing to worry as you do not know what are the chemicals used and whether they suit your skin or not... 

Pros:

1. Nice travel friendly pack
2. Gives a dry compact powder finish
3. Nice quality sponge
4. Very impressive mirror

Cons:

1. Does not blend well
2. Leave a white cast after application
3. Does not glide smoothly on skin as claimed
4. Too pricey
5. Ingredients list not mentioned on pack.

Recommendation:

I would rate this 2/5 for the confusion and the confused product and its effect.. I think this is a failure in this range of cosmetics..

Many people almost 90% of the people have faced this problem of dandruff at-least once in their lifetime right???? So what have you done to get rid of dandruff / to control it? Home remedies might work but you need lot of patience and you cant just judge in a few days that "Oh!! this did not work" Most of the people have less time or no time at all to try home remedies... Today let me review one such product that claims to ease you of this problem... "Scalpe Ketoconazole and Zinc Pyrithione Shampoo"

What Product Claims:

This Shampoo is for people suffering from Dandruff, Seborrhoeic Of Scalp..Seborrheic dermatitis is an inflammatory^[ skin disorder affecting the scalp, face, and torso. Typically, seborrheic dermatitis presents with scaly, flaky, itchy, and red skin. It particularly affects the sebaceous-gland-rich areas of skin. In adolescents and adults, seborrhoeic dermatitis usually presents as scalp scaling similar to dandruff...

My View:

This shampoo effectively works for people who has small red inflammations / boils and skin eruptions on scalp, with severe dandruff and itching.. Or oily scalp problems due to over active oil glands.... This shampoo effectively removed all the dandruff in just 2 weeks time.. I continued using this as a maintenance for another 1 month and i am completely rid of dandruff and my scalp has become healthy and irritation free!!...For the quantity ie 60ml price is more i think.. One bottle of shampoo lasted for 3-4 weeks, also depends on thickness and length of hair.. My hair length is medium below shoulder, not too short nor long, it lasts for 4 washes..I suggested this to my one of my cousin and she was so impressed by the results.. 
People who are getting those small bumps around ear and hair line should check if they have dandruff, it mainly is the problem caused by dandruff, i would suggest such people to give at-least 1 try to this product and i am sure you will be left with just amazingly good results.. Whats more impressing is that this shampoo did not make my hair go dry!!!! It contains Zinc Pyrithione which cleanses the skin or prevents odor by destroying or inhibiting the growth of microorganisms.. This is usually used in shampoo to control dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, and psoriasis..Zinc Pyrithione enhances the appearance and feel of hair, by increasing hair body, suppleness, or sheen, or by improving the texture of hair that has been damaged physically or by chemical treatment.. It is also a preservative, used in small quantity in this particular shampoo.. Some companies use this ZPTO in more than the limited % to fasten the effect of giving good results which is not good from health point of view.. This % must be checked.. Good ZPTO shampoos do not exceed more that 1%... 

Pros:

1. Very effective in getting rid of dandruff /at-least controlling it in severe cases
2. The new Improved pack does not dry you hair..
3. Makes scalp healthy with use
4. Available in all medical stores

Cons:

1. Price is much for the quantity
2. No significant cons....
3. Earlier pack of this shampoo used to dry the hair but now its New & Improved

Recommendation:

I will rate this 4.5/5 ,-0.5 for the price and quantity.... If you are noticing any bumps around ear or hairline it may be dandruff that`s causing it.. This shampoo works very well for people with mild to sever dandruff problems.. Problems like small boils, bumps and itching scalp.. This is a must use product if you are facing all such problems.. Give it a try and you will be very happy with the results... I use Triflow Hair conditioner along with this and it does wonders...

My View:

A small piece of information about CC Creams: CC Stands for Color/Complexion Correction, Texture of such creams are light weight and fast absorbing.What this actually does is that it imparts an airy veil of coverage and a boost of both instant and protective coverage."They typically have light-diffusing particles, which visually even skin tone, plus a super-dose of antioxidants.

My personal view is it does not suit oily skin. It does not provide enough moisture required for the skin. It is waterproof but stays only for a decent 4-5 hours. It has a very good consistency and spreads evenly on the skin.It has Cyclopentasiloxane which is a silicone which makes the cream easily spreadable on skin(some people are allergic to silicone and has disadvantages )...Its SPF 20 helps to avoid sunburns and tanning even if you are out in the sun wearing it.It has Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate which is insoluble in water and is widely used in sunscreens to protect skin from sun..Another ingredient Titanium Oxide is also used in sunscreen. Thats why i kept wondering what made me look more darker than my complexion after few hours of wearing this cream.. This cream oxidizes and makes my skin look much darker than it actually is. I hated this thing!!!!!!!

What i observed after applying this cream is that it reduced the appearance of fine lines and makes skin look plump and healthy. If you have damaged skin due to sun burn or any other reason this cream effectively reduces such appearances..

Pros:

1. It gives an even complexion appearance(temporarily)
2. It reduces appearance of wrinkles, fine lines,dull looking skin
3. It provides effective sun protection
4. Makes skin appear healthy and plump
5. Conceals small dark marks

Cons:

1. Has silicone(fills the pores and causes it to breakout)
2. Has Titanium Dioxide which oxides after sometime , which makes skin appear darker
3. Does not suit oily skin. 
4. Oily skin girls must use face powder or need touch up frequently
5. Limited shades ie only Bronze and Beige available.

Recommendation:

I rate this 3.5/5.

This cream can effectively make your skin appear even toned, temporarily corrects flaws, and flaky skin, makes skin look free of all kind of flaws especially complexion appears even.. Though it has advantages i will not ignore the fact that it has silicone which fills the flaws but blocks the pores which in turn causes acne breakout. Especially people suffering from acne must stay away from this cream.. I think this cream can be used on special occasions when you need that perfect look... I will not use this as a daily cream!!!!!

Like everybody i too was fascinated to use BB creams and after much speculation, bought one for my self.... Let me review "Maybelline CLEARGLOW Bright Benefit Cream" which is most talked about!! My View:

Let me start with a small piece of information on BB creams...

BB creams are short for beauty balms or blemish balms. They were first developed in Germany by a dermatologist who wanted a single cream that would protect skin and provide coverage after laser treatments.The all-in-one formulation became a sensation in South Korea and then spread throughout Asia...  BB creams started hitting U.S. store shelves in the spring of 2011. Today, almost every major beauty company has a BB cream, from drugstore brands that cost under $10 to high-end department-store lines that may be as costly as $100 or more, as well as lines that are only sold at spas or in doctors' offices. More are on their way.The NPD Group, a market research group, found that although only 2% of beauty shoppers have purchased a BB cream, nearly 4 in 5 of those who have say they'll buy the product again.Many BB creams offer effective sun protection, with broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher, the American Academy of Dermatology's recommendation for daily use. What's more, BB creams generally contain zinc oxide or titanium oxide, physical sunblocks that have some built-in water-resistant properties, Wu says.

When it comes to skin treatment, you can find BB creams that contain:

• Anti-aging components, including peptides and antioxidants such as vitamins A, E, and C

For all its benefits, if you expect a BB cream to be a miracle in a tube, you might be disappointed.

Ok finally my view about this product is,  it does what is claims ie brightens up the face and makes you look like a vampire he he he... I purchased the radiance shade as i thought it would suit my complexion... And i was right...:) Immediately after applying i regretted for purchasing this cream as it really made me appear like a vampire. Seriously speaking you don`t need a face powder if you use this cream, apply it and blend it and you are ready to go!! 

It is light on skin, suitable even for oily skin beauties. I doubt about dry skin beauties as it did not appear to be hydrating as it claims.. It does not conceal dark spots much.. Small scars and dark circles are effectively covered, provided you use a face powder...  It gives a nice matte finish. To test this product i used it on an occasion where i had to be under the sun for sometime and it was just washed out because of sweat! Yes it does not work if your face sweats and it washes out though it claims to be waterproof...One more thing i observed is, it does not look natural after 4-5 hours.. BB creams are meant to make you look natural and perfect even toned but it fails after 4-5 hours(my skin is oily).. May work for normal skin beauties...

Pros:

1. Brightens up the skin
2. Gives decent coverage for small scars and dark under eye circles
3. Gives nice matte finish
4. Easily available
5. Is waterproof.

Cons:

1. Contains Parabens 
2. May not suitable for daily use if you have dry/oily skin
3. Lasts for 4-5 hours 
4. Quantity is very less for the price
5. May cause breakouts for sensitive skin hence should be cleaned thoroughly to remove every trace of it on face
6. Does not hydrate the skin as claimed

Recommendation:

I would rate it 3/5 as it does a decent job of concealing small scars and dark circles. I would buy it again but not use it on regular basis as it contains Parabens!!!

My view:

Basically what i look for in a mascara is : It should be dark enough to make even the fine lashes or very less lashes look full of volume and look intense black. It should be waterproof , to be wearable even in rainy season. Also should not make lashes brittle and break the lashes or damage them..
Should be easily removed after use.. I am sure you too are expecting the same from a very good brand like Lakme right???

I have thin delicate lashes light in color.. It definitely made my lashes look dark and thicker...But what bothered me was that my lashes became brittle and hard after sometime and i also noticed hair fall from lashes!!!! I got scared and did not use it... Did you gals notice such a thing then please share your views by commenting....

1. Good applicator and covers every single hair 
2. Gives nice volume 
3. Makes lashes look longer
4. Does not feel heavy on lashes
5. Dries quickly

Cons:

1. Does not moisturize 
2. Makes hair brittle which tend to fall
3. Absolutely no for daily use

Recommendation:

I rate this 4/5 for the quality and the work it does on lashes.. It is surely a good product from lakme and can be used not on daily basis but during functions and special occasions

Note: Methylparaben and Propylparaben are used as preservatives in cosmetics, and other products.. These are cheaper than other preservatives...

Parabens, man-made preservative chemicals, are used by manufacturers in a variety of domestic products, such as cosmetics, lotions and moisturizers, shampoo, shaving, and tanning products. Parabens are cost-effective and provide protection against micro-organisms for an extended period of time. While there are multiple types of parabens, methyl, propyl and butylparaben are the most frequently used in beauty products. In recent years, concern has increased as to their role in producing potentially serious health side effects.

In short

Parabens pose many health risks like premature aging, sun burns, also know to cause breast cancer, affect reproductive system, cause hormonal imbalance etc... If you go on reading and find in Google you will get to know how harmful these are....And how we are risking our lives because of our ignorance.....

What product claims:

Well product claims to moisturize the skin and provide right balance to make it look healthy.. Reduce acne scars...It has many ingredients as mentioned above.. Few beneficial and many that can cause serious problems

My View:

This cream was prescribed by my doctor.. I was curious to know more about the ingredients used in this cream and i had heard & read from many people that this cream can be used on baby`s skin!!!!!!!!!

So thought to check out and do some research....After a good research i was shocked how people are using this cream for babies???????? when it has 2 most dangerous parabens!!!!!!....

Though it makes the skin soft, it is not ideal for oily skin as it makes you breakout again if used daily on face.. Though it claims to reduce scars i did not find even a bit of improvement in my skin.. Rather it made my skin more oily causing breakouts... I was very disappointed with this cream.. I could not believe my doctor can make such mistake by prescribing such product.. This cream has parabens which cause hormonal imbalance.. people suffering from Acne Vulgaris know what causes this condition right!!! Yes hormonal imbalance..Are doctors making money by suggesting you wrong products and causing you to run to them again and again???? Think again, when there are answers to your question easily available why be so ignorant??? Check and use products which are prescribed to you... Doctors are no Gods....They too can make mistakes... It was not useful for me and i am scared of Parabens.....

Pros:

1. Makes your skin smooth
2. Not pricey

Cons:

1. Not suitable for very oily skinned people
2. Contains parabens which affect health badly

Recommendation:

Hmm I give this product 1.5/5 for the smoothness it provides to the skin... I will not recommend it to people with Acne Vulgaris and severe acne conditions as it will act as trigger and cause more breakouts... I will not use it again.. I used it in the past for a month because of ignorance and kept guessing what caused me to breakout more??? I will not do this mistake and will stay away from this product.....
